A lot of the snow had melted but the road up Wheeler peak to the 10,000 foot level was closed. We drove into the south end of the park and hiked to Lexington Arch. It was a beautiful day, the views were fantastic and we had the trail to ourselves. Tuesday night we camped in the Baker Creek Camp ground.
anime night road background
A lot of the photos from my new album have been lost to the ground, so I did some digging and discovered what makes this background of mine unique. The background is from a photograph I took with a Canon 4D at that time called "Anime Night". I wanted to show a bit more of you the background as you look at it…
When it came to the color scheme for the background, I decided to use a color picker like a Lightroom or Photoshop where a few of the images would have different tones. For each image I set the value 1-4 to either red (I used bright green at 1A, purple at 3, blue (8) or purple at 4A) or white (8 at 7). Then in Photoshop I used the default settings of the Photoshop window color setting which is not quite as good as the defaults for most lighting options. Here is what I did to my camera:

It was a few weeks later and I was getting to the point where I knew this might be the place for the background (I will write more about that in the pictures below). I used the option of either setting in Photoshop or Lightroom and added it to the main selection (I used the default settings for either setting).
